Bay of Valdez (Alaska)
The city of Valdez, placed in the south of Alaska in the area of the Prince William Sound. It is the destination of the Alaska Pipeline that crosses Alaska from north to south to transport the oil produced in the arctic area (Prudhoe Bay). In this place oil is transfered to boats. It was unfortunately worldwide famous after the desaster of the Exxon Valdez in the late 80´s. If you want to know more details see here: Exxon_Valdez
