Safe Haven

This spot may look a bit familiar. I have a few images from here that I really like, but it is hard not to photograph it when I am there. It is a special place for me, this particular section of the canyon. Every time I come here, I seem to be alone. The stillness and quietness that I find here is something I am happy to still get despite the fire. A long pool that one had to wade knee to waist deep is now a sandy trail and seemingly takes the beauty away from the start of what I feel is the most scenic section of the canyon.
