"STORMY PARADISE"

Oregon never ceases to blow my mind. Sometimes it's hard to even believe places like these exist. Due to the record breaking water levels, getting into the canyon yesterday was close to impossible. After an almost waist deep hike to the log jam, I removed my camera from it's bag, popped on a 300mm and carefully climbed out to the edge of the log jam and shot this handheld. Ideally I would have used a tripod but the high water levels and shaking logs from the strong current made me focus on a safer approach. I slid my way out onto the furthest log, straddled it, took this shot, then returned back to the river deciding not to push my luck.
