49 Shades of Grey

Thames New Zealand This westward facing jetty in the town of Thames is about 1 hour from Auckland. Having not been able to visit the town while we were based in Hahei, we dropped by on an overcast day on the way back to Auckland. The grey conditions suited to a long exposure and some of those birds obliged by staying still ! The wire frames made this one of the cooler jetties to photograph too and one day we'd love to spend some time here exploring the western corromandel and Kauearanga valley including the Pinnacles walk.
