Approaching the Ice Wall
I'm spending about three weeks in Antarctica. I camped out in a wicked place called the Dry Valleys where countless glaciers spill into a valley... it's like nothing I've ever seen. You can walk right up and touch them... miles of face to walk in front of. I stopped to take this photo of the Howard Glacier, which loomed hundreds of feet over me. This view you see only makes up about 2% of the face of the glacier. Amazing! via TreyRatcliff http://500px.com/photo/96967035
