At Winter's Bend
It was the last sunrise of our week long adventure on the Rockies. Upon checking out the locations around Banff area, this was the only body of water that we were able to find at that time. The other spots were either filled with compacted or freshly covered snow. And since it's winter solstice, sunrise and sunset direction differs from the normal. I ended choosing this spot and showcasing the sunrise at a different way. Shaved-like ice forming on a top of a semi-frozen Two Jack Lake, backed by Mount Rundle. Did I say the lake was cracking the whole time? It was a crazy yet scary experience! Truly an amazing place, ah the itch of going back is creeping in already.
