Horseshoe Bend

When I saw that it had snowed I decided to drive the 400 miles through the night to be here for sunrise. I arrived with a couple hours of night left and had the place to myself to enjoy the silence of the fresh snow. Light reflected off the clouds from Page, AZ casting a nice soft light off the snow covered canyon. It was during these precious night time hours that I made this image. I walked away during the 13.5 minute exposure and returned to see this in my LCD. It was well worth it.
