Fall Sunrise over Mer Bleue Bog

With another weekend of the weather not cooperating to capture any new photos, I have the time to go back through some of my shots from 2014 to see if anything jumps out at me. This is one of the shots that caught my attention. This was taken early one morning in September 2014. The clouds were certainly cooperating to provide a nice magenta and yellow reflection off of the calm water in the bog. I had been taking bracketed shots of nine this morning, as there was a very large difference in the areas for exposure. I decided to try and work this image from single shots from the brackets. Because the Nikon D800E has such a large dynamic range, I was able to take single shots and recover all that I needed to. Amazing. All of the processing for these images were done in Lightroom. I then took the series of shots (8 shots wide for the panoramic stitching) and stitched them together using Kolor APG. Once I had merged everything together into a single panoramic image, I did a few more final adjustments in Lightroom and then imported it into Photoshop to resize and apply web sharpening for exporting. Camera: Nikon D800E Lens: Nikon AF-S 24mm prime Nikkor f/1.4G ED Bracketed exposure shots: No 8 shots wide @100 iso` Camera Orientation: Portrait Camera Mode: Aperture Priority, f/8 Location: Mer Bleue Conservation Area, Ottawa, ON, Canada via tawatts http://500px.com/photo/98258601
