Tidal Radiance
The ocean was in high tide and I spotted these rocks which I wanted to use as a foreground and I placed my tripod to gauge the intensity of the splash. It turned out that every few minutes the splash was so hard that my whole tripod was getting wet. Nevertheless the sunset was too amazing to miss so I took a chance and got a few pictures before a big splash temporarily caused my camera to malfunction and made my heart skip a few beats. I came back happy and anxious at that same time. Happy because I did get a few decent shots and anxious because of the uncertainty looming over my camera's fate. Thankfully, after using a hair dryer for a few minutes, the camera woke up and started responding and happily I processed the image. One thing I have learned from 500 px is that you have to be brave to get a good shot and I am glad that I did that! [Best seen in Black Background] via fzaidi http://500px.com/photo/97644569
