Where the Gods Perish
In north Iceland the waterfall of the Gods is the place where symbols of the old heathen gods where thrown into when Christianity was adopted more than 1000 years ago. In winter the color of the water in this waterfall tchanges from murky brown into deep blue. Glacier melt with its silt stops flowing and only the spring water remains. Just like with the higher elevated Aldeyjarfoss it transforms the scene totally.
