[HDR] Sergeant Robinson Revisited

*view on black!!!* About 150 years ago (April 14th, 1865) a three-pronged assassination was underway. On that night Abraham Lincoln perished to the shadowed prowler John Wilkes Booth. But Booth's lackey, Lewis Powell, wasn't as successful with his own mark. Powell was tasked with dispatching William H. Seward. But one man stepped in and stopped it from happening: Sergeant George F. Robinson. And Seward would later come to mastermind the purchase of Alaska from the Russian Empire for $7.2 million. The Russians felt it a steal in the coming conflict with Britain, though I think in the end we all know who got the better side of the deal ;) Fast forward and eventually, decades after his heroic action, Sergeant Robinson had this mountain named after him. Here is Mountain Sergeant Robinson again, in portrait, as it rests on the horizon over a pool of ice crystals on Matanuska Glacier. So much history in one shot!
