Lake Jasna

Before the first road bends to Vršič, stop for a short break at the Jasna Lake. It consists of two interconnected artificial lakes at the confluence of the Velika Pišnica and Mala Pišnica streams. Located just 2km from Kranjska Gora, Lake Jasna is a stunning alpine lake covering a surface area of 2.2ha. A popular tourist destination the views from here towards to surrounding mountains is nothing short of breathtaking. The lake is guarded by a statue of a Zlatorog (golden horn), the legendary chamois of Mt. Triglav.
