beach North Berwick Scotland

My parents retired some years ago to North Berwick on the East coast of Scotland. This photograph was taken on an afternoon walk along the beach, the tide had just gone out and the sand was still very wet. I was amazed at the shapes that the water had left in the sand, it was like a hundred mini rivers. The hill in the background is called Berwick Law on the top of the hill is the jaw bone of a whale that was stranded on the beach many many years ago.

My mum has since passed away but i take the kids to visit grandad a couple of times a year, and come rain or shine we walk alang the beach.
