I am an amateur photographer living on the shore of Lake Superior who was lucky enough to meet up on Flickr with a wonderful group of local women photographers who share my passion for nature photography. The morning this photo was taken we were supposed to go on a snowshoe/photography trek, however, the weather forecast was predicting overcast skies so it was decided to postpone the hike and wait for nicer shooting conditions. I was all packed and ready to go so the next morning I headed out before sunrise to a location much closer to home (McKenzie Point Conservation Area) in the hopes of perhaps getting a glimpse of sunshine and was rewarded with some lovely cloud formations and a bit of colour in the sky.
