Sugarloaf Rock, Western Australia...

INCREDIBLE...What a breathtaking sunrise we had!!! Sugarloaf Rock is located on the very bottom of Western Australia approx. 280km’s south/west of Perth. The rock itself is an incredible spectacle, sitting alone in the ocean surrounded by some of the wildest winds & dangerous waves which proved a real challenge to shoot. We really wanted to shoot this spot differently to do it justice & decided on a nice long exposure. We came back here many times, checking tides & conditions. The incoming tide just after the low gave us this amazing water movement you see in the right corner of frame with a longer exposure. This morning though, the clouds were absolutely stunning…pastel pinks with hues of purple & orange.
